Edgar Allan Poe had a sad, depressing life but his life was very interesting.Poe was famous for how his stories, and poems were dark, and gory.Also some of Poe’s writings were mainly narrative.Poe had lived an interesting life going to private schools, having to live with a different family,going to the army,and writing between all those events. Poe was born in Boston,Massachusetts on January 19,1801.( “Edgar Allan Poe” 1 )Poe’s death happened on the day October 07, 1849 in Baltimore, Maryland.Poe had a brother and a sister, and his Parents were actors.( “Edgar Allan Poe” 1)

Edgar Allan Poe’s Parents were both professional actors. Poe had an older brother and a younger sister.When Poe was three he lost his mom to consumption, and his dad to desertion.Poe and his siblings were separated to various families. Poe had gone to the charitable Richmond,Virginia home of John and Frances Allan.Poe took Allen then as his middle name to show a thanks to the Allens.The Allens were wealthy as well.( “Edgar Allan Poe” 1).Poe was also never legally adopted by the Allans.When the Allens went on trips or vacations Edgar Allan Poe would go to boarding schools, and private schools.
