In the poem “Casey at the Bat” and the story “David and Goliath,” a comparison of David and Casey shows many differences and similarities. In the poem “Casey at Bat” and story “David and Goliath,” a comparison of David and Casey shows differences and similarities. I think there are some reasons why they are the same. In the beginning of the chapter, it said that david was just a boy, and Casey must be a boy because modern kids are into baseball, sports, and whatnot. The two stories show that they both have some sort of team. It says in the story of david and goliath that there was an army, and in Casey’s story it says that the had a baseball team so technically they both have teams.
The book of 1-2 Chronicles were written to meet the needs of the remnant Jews about the history of Israel. The books were intentionally made to remind the exile people who reads the book concerning the cause and reasons that brought them to the position where they were right now. My heart is so grateful, to our Father, for the opportunity to start this journey with this course, Understanding the Old Testament. I have a basic understanding of the Old Testament at this time of my life, however I am eager to learn as much as possible. Thou I have read most of the books I barely have any knowledge on the history behind the books and the culture, which is greatly important to be able to understanding it fully. The knowledge that I have received from the Old Testament has come from different sources but mostly I have to thank the Holy Spirit because He gives us the understanding to comprehend what it is

The Book of Numbers – in Hebrew, Bəmidbar, meaning “in the wilderness [of Sinai]” – describes the the Israelites’ long journey in the desert to take possession of God’s promised land. The Jewish Study Bible divides Numbers into three major units based on “geographical criteria” and “ideological motifs”. The first unit spans from Numbers 1.1 to 10.10 and details the Israelites’ encampment at Mount Sinai and their preparation for the long journey. The second unit picks up this narrative and describes the generation‐long march in the desert from Sinai to Moab. The final unit, starting with Numbers 22.2, narrates the encampment on the plains of Moab before entering the promised land of Canaan.
