1. Up to this point in your life, how much do you know about the Old Testament? How did you learn about it? What mental associations come to mind when you think about the Old Testament?

My heart is so grateful, to our Father, for the opportunity to start this journey with this course, Understanding the Old Testament. I have a basic understanding of the Old Testament at this time of my life, however I am eager to learn as much as possible. I have read most of the Bible but the books that I am missing to read are all coincidently in the Old Testament, which are 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Psalm. Thou I have read most of the books I barely have any knowledge on the history behind the books and the culture, which is greatly important to be able to understanding it fully.

The knowledge that I have received from the Old Testament has come from different sources but mostly I have to thank the Holy Spirit because He gives us the understanding to comprehend what it is …show more content…

Jacob goes to the land of the people of the east. There he works for Laban for seven years with the purpose to marry Rachel, Laban youngest daughter.
