Professor Higgins, Eliza Doolittle, and Alfred Doolittle are three extremely different individuals. When it comes to money and social status, they do not see eye to eye. The three are separated by language, education, behavior, and money. Starting with the professor of phonetics, Henry Higgins is not a common man. He is very proper and wealthy yet quite unusual. Henry Higgins is a brutally honest man. Sometimes, he can be mistaken for a bully. Henry justifies his wrong doings by stating that he treats everyone with no respect. He looks down at others too often. Henry Higgins is unorthodox. He tends to steer in the opposite direction from society's norms. For example, he refuses to get married even though he was in love with Eliza. Henry Higgins is a high class man, and he despises the phony and hypocrisy act of the high class. By transforming and sculpting Eliza, Higgins beats the high class society at their own game. Eliza Doolittle, the witty flower girl, has neither wealth nor a social standing, but she longs for it.
