There are some similarities and differences that we notice. Others…. Not so much. We notice these things in our environment, in others, and in ourselves from day to day. When it comes to trying learn the differences and similarities between those things it is appealing and we are intrigued. We don’t usually notice the similarities and differences between the wars and revolutions in the past. The french revolution, for example, started with a disagreement between the National Assembly and the Estates Generals. The Latin American Wars of Independence started with a political crisis in Spain. For the french he influenced them to start their revolution and he even led it. This was a positive and negative decision. It was positive because the people believed that they had a worthy leader who would bring them success. It was negative however because although there was some success there was a great loss of property and lives. For the latin americans he influenced them to rebel because he overtook Portugal which had a great number of latin american colonies. This made the latin people realize how much the higher ups had over them.Overall i would say that to me Napoleon was a neutral person in history. When the French revolted it was the lower class people within their own country. They revolted because they were unhappy with their situation and how they were being controlled. King Louis XVI was withholding most of the food supply for himself and his wife. The people were famished and were enraged at the fact that he was being greedy and other higher people were helping with the hoarding project. However, in the Latin American countries, they revolted because they wanted their freedom. They did not want to be ruled by any one who treated them wrongly or like they were different then everyone else. Multiple latin colonies joined together to create war between themselves and the king who was controlling them. They came together and went overseas to be successful. Another difference was their purpose for revolting. The Latin Americans had the purpose of gaining freedom and independence. They no longer wanted to be under royal control. They wanted a democracy between themselves and a logical respectful leader who was on the same page as them and listened to their opinions with an open mind.
