Regarding the four Chinese philosophers: Legalism, Daosim, Confucianism, and Buddishm. There are multiple similarities and differences between them all regarding how a state should mainly be ruled. Confucianism is a value system based on social order and obedience. Daoism was a religion of world peace that warned its believers against dealing too much in issues. Legalism wants organized, totalitarian rules and hard punishments against their community. Meanwhile for buddhism they wanted the COMPLETE opposite of all of what Legalism wants for who may believe in that religion. Daoism and Buddhism had/have similar beliefs in nature and people should look more into the Earth then a person (Such as god or Jesus). Some evidence to support my claim is: “Daoism and Buddhism are two different religions that guide people how to live a good life. They also teach the important values of life to people. They have similar beliefs as both of them believe in the life after death and the cycle of life never ends.” (https://www.ipl.org/essay/Compare-And-Contrast-Daoism-And-Buddhism-FKU7UG74SCFR) This implies that they both believed in a “how to live a good life.” And they wanted people to live their life as much as they can and not have a dull moment. Now with Legalism and Confucianism, these may look like polar opposites but they simply can be connected. No matter whether the rules were Confucian people based on shame and Legalism people based on punishment, both Confucianism and Legalism demanded strict respect to them. They both performed a strict environment for their people and wanted them to be loyal and only believe in one thing which was their religion
