People say everything happens for a reason, whether we want it to or not. On April 6th, 1968 Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and lost his life. A great man lost to this world. Then on October 9th, 2013 Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head, neck, and shoulder and survived. When we ask why both these things have happened we are given many answers. Many of which don’t answer our question. Those who people who believe that things happen for a reason may say this happened for cause. A cause that scares people into killing. These two people were fighting for two for different movements, but they were really after the same thing… Freedom. Dr. King and Malala are both voices of protest. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929 Dr. Martin Luther King would soon become one of the best known activist in the Civil Rights movement during the 1960s.
