The Roman people took the existing religion of the Greeks and made it their own. the Greek gods and myths remained the same, but were given different names under the Roman religion. Zeus was renamed Jupiter, Poseidon became neptune and many other greek gods were renamed.. The Roman gods played either similar or the same roles as they did as Greek gods. Other than the Greek gods, they also adapted the idea of the oracle of Delphi a "holy woman" who would supposedly delivered the messages of the gods for priests to interpret and deliver to the people. This was a very important factor of Greek religion, and although the Roman oracle was situated in a different location than the original one in Greece, the Romans still consulted their oracle and
