Everyone has a desire for hearing a great tragic love story that pushes the readers to the end of their seats, holding on for dear life. Scared for the characters but at the same time, eager to find out what is gonna happen next. The classic love story of Romeo and Juliet is one of those kind of stories. One of the most famous stories out there. What about the real life love story of Bosko and Admira? Or ‘Pyramus and Thisbe’. Lastly, the extended story of Lady Capulet, ‘Duty’. The true story of Bosko and Admira also known as the Sarajevo Romeo and Juliet. This couple struggled with the exception of who they really were and not race. Bosko was serbian and Admira was a muslim, they had been known each other since childhood, before the war ripped Bosnia apart. When they tried to escape Sarajevo, they had been shot by one who did not approve the relationship they shared on the Vrbanja Bridge. They had died in each other’s arms on that bridge. Romeo and Juliet is another story that takes part in tragic love endings. The story of Romeo and Juliet starts with two innocent kids from two separate families that held an ancient grudge on one another. The two kids fall in love and hide their relationship from their families, trying to find possible ways they can live happily together without any death. Unfortunately, when a plan goes down hill, it only ends in death. The struggle the two lovers face is what makes this such a tragic ending. This grudge the families share affects their relationship oh so much. Because the families are supposed to have nothing to do with one another, the time Romeo and Juliet can have with one another is very difficult. And if they are caught, it will lead to harsh consequences. Juliet says “ O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name,” she ask Romeo why does he have to be a Montague, why does he have to be the family's enemy.
