In addition, Romeo is a good example of the thesis. In act three, Romeo seeks revenge against Tybalt. In the beginning of scene one, Mercutio and Benvolio are in a public place when Tybalt walks in. Straight away Tybalt and Mercutio start trash talking each other until Romeo walks in. Tybalt is trying to pick a fight with Romeo but he refuses. “Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining rage to such a greeting: villain am I none; therefore farewell; I see thou know’st me not,” (Shakespeare 790-791) Romeo explains. The quote is saying that Romeo just wants peace and to not get in any fights. Tybalt puts down his sword but Mercutio will not settle for what just happened. In order for them to achieve that, they want to make it clear that they will do anything in order to be together. When the Capulets found out that Juliet is “dead”, they became very sad and are shocked (Shakespeare 830). Juliet wants them to feel pain because they are causing her so much pain. Lady Capulet expresses how she feels when she says “we will have vengeance for it, fear thou not.” Lady Capulet explains that Romeo will not get away with what he did and he should get what he deserves (Shakespeare 815). Juliet does not enjoy how Lady Capulet feels about Romeo. The plan that the friar makes for Romeo and Juliet shows that Juliet doesn’t care about her mom’s feelings. Romeo ends up at the tomb where his wife Juliet is and takes his life due to the fact that the letter did not make it to him. Juliet wakes up to a dead husband and is depressed. She finds Romeo’s dagger and takes her life as well (Shakespeare 840-846). All Juliet wants is to get revenge on her parents for causing her so much pain but instead, the couple take their lives and the plan to avenge
