Being a professional athlete in any sport is something that takes hard work and dedication. The National Basketball League is the home to hundreds of players that have come from high school, college, and even from across the world. In recent years, there has been a big debate on whether these players should go to college or not before going into the NBA. In the article, “The Case for Getting Schooled”, David Gardner says that all of these players should attend college before starting their careers in the National Basketball Association. Gardner’s claim that basketball players should first go to college is flawed because a player might be good enough already to go into the NBA right away, players will play with better talent in the NBA, and

In times of fear and hysteria in the U.S. it is mass chaos and it only gets worse and worse. During the time of both the witch-hunt eras, whether for communist or actual witches, they prove to have many similarities between them. Both of these times were full of confusion and lying which lead to the temporary downfall of the authority at that time. Joseph McCarthy proved to be a factor in this time and add on to the chaos that was America. Arthur Miller wrote about these times in a book called The Crucible, based on the witch trial era.

“Speak boldly and with intellect. Never hush your voice for someone’s comfort. Speak your mind, make people uncomfortable.” — Anonymous. I have now taken the Strengths Finder 2.0 assessment for the second time, and I am fascinated with the results. Not only for the differences that exist between the two assessments, but for also my most recent results. I first took the assessment in the Spring 2014 semester, about a year and a half ago, and in that time I have had an immense amount of personal growth. Therefore, I was very curious if my results would reflect the same. Not only did it reflect different strengths, but I believe that the results are more accurate than the prior assessment.
Every person has motives or values that explain what they do and why they do it alot of times these values come from things they've experienced and choices they make. A lot of heroes have the same values which helps them make the right choices and have the mindset of a hero. Heroes tend to have values that are the same as other heroes. Most heroes have back stories that explain why they value what they do, however regardless of their backstory heroes tend to be the same. Heroes are created to represent cultural values which makes them create inspiration setting an example of what to do.
School choice is at the forefront of educational policy as Mrs. Betsy DeVos, Secretary of Education, continues to present a case for breaking up the monopoly American public schools have on educating children. The aims of the policy are to increase competition and innovation in all schools, provide parents more autonomy in choosing the most fitting educational setting, and higher levels of student achievement. Economic and budgetary policy as well as politics play a large role in influencing school choice policy. The Gardner’s 1980s report "A Nation at Risk,” commissioned by Secretary of Education Terrell Bell, provided a bleak outlook on American education.

THEORIES OF INTELLIGENCE INTRODUCTION Throughout history, numerous researchers have suggested different definitions regarding intelligence and that it is a single, general ability, while other researchers believed that the definition of intelligence includes a range of skills. Spearman (general intelligence), Gardner (multiple intelligence) and Goleman (emotional intelligence) have all looked into further research regarding intelligence, where 3 different theories were formed regarding what intelligence is and how it should be defined. Since then, Binet, Simon and Terman have all contributed to intelligence testing. Although, there is still controversy over intelligence testing.
Gardner’s effort on multiple intelligences from past two decades has been quite significant. It was identified that intelligence is basically the ability for solving issues that are actually valued with in the cultural practice. According to Meunier (2003), when adults are able to learn from their lives from multiple intelligence models, they are able to find liberation in inspecting potentials which were never developed or highlighted. Programs for self-development from hobbies, programs and courses can mainly re-integrate the native intelligences of an individual in a way that can be satisfying from personal perspective. Discussion When it comes to multiple intelligence types and factors involved in clinical practices, we often realize
