In the tribe apache and martins tribe has a lot of similarities and differences. Some similarities on dashena and martins are that they both are getting to an age to where they are going into adulthood. Both martin and deshena have to go through something to get to adulthood. Some advantages about the text (martin's story) is that when the reader is reading the story ,it feels like the reader is talking to a friend or just sitting down with a friend, and the story is very long so………the story explains a lot. When reading the story the reader can really feel like they are in the story themselves. Some disadvantages about the story is that the story might be a little too long, also yes there is some parts of the story that explain a lot about martin’s tribe. In the video it shows what deshena is doing and in the story you have to imagine what he is doing. …show more content…

It shows the 10 hour dance ,she has to go through and all these things she has to go through to become a woman. The medicine lady had a lot of things to say too about deshena. Some disadvantages about the video is that the video was a little too short.
