Could you picture around 6 million people? Now how would you feel if all of them were killed right now? All of them being killed because they were African American or they were Mexican. The Holocaust was when the Nazi’s led by Adolf Hitler persecuted, tortured, and killed people just because they were Jewish. People were separated from their families and gassed or burned just to keep up with how many people were coming into the camp, or just to amuse themselves.
Thomas Paine was opposed to slavery due to the quote he said. "Slave, who is proper owner of his freedom, has the right to reclaim it, however often sold." He goes on to say the African slaves were forced into the slavery due to the Europeans bring liquor to there land, bribing one against another, and hiring tribes to fight other tribes. Thomas Paine was an original member of the Anti Slavery formed in Philadelphia.
Slavery was an immense part of living in the United States from the 18th and 19th century. Slaves were seen as property of their masters and treated like animals without rights. In the minds of their masters slaves were seen as creatures that were bought to do their work. Slavery took away basic human rights from the people after they became slaves and slaveholders used punishments, rules and beatings to do this.
The slavery in the south during the 19th century was cruel, they had slaves sold away from their, families they had slaves being put into tight packs for transportation which lead to many deaths and illnesses to people/slaves who had no right to go through these struggles. Slaves didn't have any rights they didn't have a choice to fight for their life in court even if they have been raped or even fell under a false accusation. 8 year old kids were separated from their families and that was their biggest fear because being with their family was all they had left and that was taken from them as well. The young slaves/african american children were being fed like farm animals, eating their dinner out of troths. When slaves stole animals from farms to have a decent meal they would be whipped 20-30 times possibly even till they are dead.
Slavery Vs Camp 14 Slavery in the antebellum South and imprisonment in Camp 14 in North Korea are in a way very similar as well as very different from each other. If you had to choose between being a slave during the 19th century, or being stuck in Camp 14 during modern time which one would you choose? Slavery in the 19th century as well as Camp 14 in North Korea today are similar and different. They are similar and different education and living conditions as well as punishment for rules that get broken.
Exploration to the New World led to greedy rulers wanting more. There were many new resources and opportunities to make money; for example tobacco, sugar, and even minerals. Because of the demand for these crops, the Europeans needed someone to do the work. With the Native American population drastically declining, the Europeans had to find another source of labor so they turned to the African Americans. This began the slave trade where millions of slaves were taken from Africa to other areas as a source of income.
During both the Holocaust people that were jews were shown and during the Salem Witch Trials people were shown. Both groups ended up killed for what they were whether it was true or not. During the salem witch trials even if you said you weren’t a witch but you were accused of one you would still be hanged if they considered you apart of witchcraft. The Holocaust were alike and different in many ways.
According to Stefan Burry in “Our Dark History,””Slavery lasted for over 400 years in the united states and over 2.5 million slaves were kidnapped from Africa.” assuming this quote is correct, over the course of 400 years, slaves were treated poorly and our ancestors fought for what we have today. African Americans were raped, beaten, forced to work long hours in the blazing Sun, and endured much hardship. Slaves were hosed down, slept in sheds and forced to do whatever their master of that time said. Not only was slavery horrendous, but it ended in much bloodshed.
My paper is going to be about the Holocaust and Magda Brown. I am going to talk about the Holocaust first and what it is. The Holocaust was a time when the German did not like the jewish people. They would lock Jewish people up and take them to camps and make them their slaves. This whole thing started with Hitler who did not like the jewish.
In the election of 1944, Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt ran against Republican candidate Thomas E. Dewey. Truman gained the opportunity to become the new vice presidential candidate for the Democratic party after Roosevelt let Henry A. Wallace go. Wallace’s liberal views went against much-needed support for Roosevelt’s campaign from conservative democrats. Thanks to his time as a senator, Truman was a favorable candidate for Vice President. The Democrats won the election and Roosevelt was inaugurated on January 20th, 1945 for his fourth term as President.

When researching about the Apartheid that occurred in South Africa was to some extent similar to the Holocaust in Germany. The reasons start with the prejudice views on how a place should be running. For example, Hitler and the Nazis said the Jews were responsible for huge events like losing World War One. Proceeding to annihilate the Jewish community which is known as the Holocaust. Then there was the apartheid where the National Party gained power in South Africa, and its all-white government immediately began enforcing existing policies of racial segregation under a system of legislation that is called apartheid.
When World War Two occurred, yes it did end the Nazi party and the Holocaust, but millions of innocent people were died already. That number would have been lower if country took part or interest into helping the Jewish community, but no one did, in which is the reason why the Holocaust is forever being told. If Germany had the real power they said they did, they would have taken World War One with full responsibility and not targets a certain group that had the guts to fight for its country, when it was a little percentage of German who actually fought in the war. However, one statement in which I agree with was when Bauman stated “all of the Nazis Decisions were not so much imbued with intense emotion, but they were the result of no emotion.”
It is an obvious truth that in order to have a functioning society, there must be workers. In modern, first world countries, labors are paid well and are reasonably treated. However, some third world nations use an economic model harkening back to older times—slavery and serfdom. Between 1450 and 1750, European countries in the Caribbean and in the Old World utilized two forms of cheap labor—slavery and serfdom—to line their coffers and feed their populace. In the Caribbean, slavery was preferred; but in Russia, serfdom ruled.
