Smoking in the United States is the number one leading unhealthy habit. Many children up to young adults taking part in the unhealthy habit of smoking. Influences from friends and even family do not help reduce the number of young people who smoke. Infact there are even adults who pressure children into smoke, adults are not the only ones who pressure young children into smoking, young children pressure each other. Statistics show how bad smoking is for anybody not just young children. Smoking affects people internally, externally, and physically. At a young age you were introduced to smoking, not just by friends but also your parents, it is time you quit smoking.

Smoking can cause and speed up eight different kinds of cancer in men and women. Smoking can be the result of cancer of the lung, kidney, larynx, uterus, throat, and mouth. Most people hear about cancer of the lungs and mouth from smoking due to the fact those are the two most known cancers from smoking. Not only does smoking cause cancer in the lungs, smoking also causes lack of oxygen in the lungs which leads to most cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease also known as COPD. Smoking also increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. The nicotine in the cigarettes leads to blood clots, which cause stroke and heart disease. When a person begins smoking lung capacity starts to decrease immediately, leading to lack of oxygen capacity in the lungs. Girls are always so worried about what their hair looks like or what their outfit of choice is, you are exactly like this. Do you ever think of what smoking does to the looks of your body? Cigarettes lead to gum disease, yellowing of the teeth and nail, increase of wrinkle, and grayish skin tone. Nobody wants these physical defects to happen to their body and neither do you.
