The mention quote is a representation of how we as human assume without understanding. Mezirow (2000) explains that, “Reflective discourse involves what the Greek Skeptics called epoche’, a provisional suspension of judgment about the truth or falsity of, or the belief or disbelief in ideas until a better determination can be made” (p.13). The assumption was that the government is covering up a conspiracy against their own people. However, there have been multiple attempts to insist that the Snowden leaks have created massive "damage" to the US and have put people at risk. But the DIA assessment is based on two important assumptions. First, it assumes that Snowden’s master file includes data from every network he ever scanned. Second, it assumes that this file is already in or will end up in the hands of America’s adversaries. The key word here is “if.” On the first assumption, he took every piece of data he ever touched, that's almost certainly not true.
