Soccer Shot
Description & Overview: When preforming a soccer shot, the objective of the movement is to try and either pass the ball to another player, or to try achieve your objective and score a goal. This type of movement mainly relies on your legs but also requires balance with your body and arms. A soccer shot may sound easy at first but there is a lot of skill involved in just making that one shot absolutely perfect. Some experienced types of skill involved in this movement would be, having confidence on the ball, quick first touch, passing with all areas of the foot, power, balance, accuracy and improvement of fundamentals of both feet.

Newton’s first law (the law of inertia) states that, “every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.” This is important because as the player begins to move, energy is required for the soccer player to overcome inertia and therefore be able to maintain their velocity or accelerate. The law of inertia is also important towards the preparatory phase because it gives players better understanding of why it is much harder to stop their own motion when at faster speeds. Newton’s first law (the law of inertia) is important for this phase because the unbalanced force would be the soccer player’s foot. The player will use muscles in their body to create a force strong enough to move their leg in a swinging motion towards the ball and be able to use the opposite leg to keep the body in place while this is happening. The mass (inertia) of the player must be overcome by a force produced by the torque of our limbs to initiate the run up from a resting position and to stop the player from accelerating forward. Newton’s second law (the law of force) proves that when an object's net force (the leg) is increased, the acceleration will increase meaning If the kicker's foot exerts a harder force, the ball will go farther and the football should go as far as the force exerted
