This process recording will discuss an observation of the caregiver of a client that the student worker has been visiting for the several weeks. This client is a Caucasian female, 71, with dementia; her primary caregiver is her daughter. Although, this client has dementia she is able to respond to question if asked but when conversing she is insensible. This week during visitation, the intent was to construct a puzzle with the client because she loves to participate in activities involves usage of her hands. As the student social worker began to separate the puzzle pieces she converse with the caregiver to ask about her weekend.
