Sociological Perspective

Within my family, I will look at the effects of the ever changing society has on specific patterns towards my family. The patterns I will be approaching are, Marriage, Cohabitation, Age at Childbearing, and Educational Attainment. These have had the most effect on different generations of my family. Although I do not have much information about the later generations. I am writing about my family through a sociological perspective.
On my maternal side both my grandparents were eventually married to each other but did not have children together. In the second generation only a few got married including my Aunt Jacinta, Uncle Julian, and my mom. In the third generation, only three have gotten married which is, my cousins Junior, Gildas, and Perpetua. No one in the fourth generation has gotten married so far. My generation those who have gone to college include: Odilia, Charmaine, Perpetua, Stephanie, Cassandra, Milykea, Yannick, Shanai, and myself. My paternal grandfather did go to college but unlikely that he finished and got his degree. In the second generation although my Uncle Keith and my father went to college neither one of them finished while my Uncle Keith and Aunt Linda did. Within in the third generation besides my brother and sister, Roberto and Roberta, my cousins Raquel, Fallon, Sola, Bianca, and Evana have all gone and gotten at least their bachelors degree. There is an influence that continuing education has on the girls in my family. None of the boys on the maternal side of my family has even gone to college. In my own generation those who are in America are more likely to enter and even finish college than those who reside outside of the
