Introduction Music is a philosophical issue, and a reader must understand various factors to understand and feel the music. Copland and Hamad express their understanding of music which involves the manipulation of notes and presents a more intellectual approach to enhancing the appreciation of music. In spite the fact that Hamad is creative and makes music magical, I believe that Copland presents more regarding the listener in a way that can improve the understanding of music general music listening process. Ella Fitzgerald and Ethel Merman are both prominent singers who take Cole Porter’s song and interpret it into their own. Though each rendition is distinctive to their own style, they are similar in the way that the instruments accompany their voices throughout the song. In Ella’s version, the instruments in the background create a melody that support Ella’s voice even though it is improvised. Though the instruments in Ethel’s version is more orchestrated the rhythm and melody are never unchanging in order to maintain the musical tone she has created.
In the poem Rain, Billy Collins’ establishes censorship relating to surveillance, creating societal issues, such as the deprivation of humanity extending to the destruction of the mind. The poet continues to construct negative connotations to the title, Rain, indicating the controlling metaphor as censorship’s effect spiraling into the negative impacts the populace faces discussed throughout the poem. Personification intends to reach the boundaries of nonliving objects into humanistic actions, for instance, “these birds have done nothing, a few protested. That is precisely the problem. The loudspeakers answered” (7-8).

Like how the citizens use technology to fill the gap even when it doesn't leave them fulfilled. To quote Guy's wife Mildred says” If we had a fourth wall it would be like this room wasn’t ours at all.” Why would she want another one if she was satisfied with her life?

As time passes, people often think of their pasts and what they have done in their life, both positively and negatively. The lyrics of the song resonate with everyone, even the famous singer Macklemore who produced the song “Good Old Days.” In the song, he reflects on his past and the times he missed or regretted.
