Living on the island is nothing only a game; the cruel and ruthless reality drove the once innocent children into a crowd of devils that ended up slaughtering each other to ensure their own safety. Are human born sinful? Or is it only the harsh situations that motivate changes in human behavior? Different opinions were being shouted, leading it to be a widespread debate topic. Writing one’s feelings and beliefs into songs lyrics is also one of the ways used worldwide then and now. This is the reason why the “original soundtrack” exists, expressing the moods and plots of the movie. The song “Shadows and Tall Trees” by U2 showed the idea that the kids gradually lose themselves and the civilized them, and wish to get back to where they had started with the innocent mindsets. Happen to be questioning themselves who they truly are, and figuring what situations they are facing. The song “Under Pressure” by Queens, demonstrates the idea of how pressure comes with opportunity and responsibility. Ralph, being the leader of all children on the island, deeply experienced the heavy load of stress due to the reason that all kids are urging him to think of solutions to escape. However, none of them except Simon, actually assisted Ralph, made him and Simon the only one doing work. In addition, the savage amongst the children drove Ralph to the point where he almost had a mental breakdown and to lost his confidence. The lyric of “ Master of Puppets” by Metallica suggests the desire for domination in Jack and is up to a point where he is willing to sacrifice and lose his conscience. To make inimical actions toward others is no longer anything outrageous for him, such as stabbing spears into Ralph’s ribs, tying Sam and Eric up to force them to join his side; all these evidence tells us his inner evilness is
