Just in, the Soviet Union has been disbanded, no more! Hard to believe, huh? The Soviet Union has not been a good thing for us. It has affected the US, the Baltic Nations, and so many other Eastern European countries. Do you have any siblings? Well if you do, you understand, competition is everything when you are growing up. If you brother got complemented for doing a superb job trimming the bushes, you would volunteer to do it for him next time just so you could get a better complement than him. This was similar to the Soviet Union and the United States. There was a space era, and when the US made a move on a space program, the Soviet Union followed. The soviet union increased and gained nation upon nation, they conquered nations, until their group grew to fifteen nations. As you know, the Balti nations consist of Estonia, Lativa, and Lithuania. These countries have pretty much been like a ball thrown back and forth from the Soviet Union and themselves. Thiey lost their independence in World War one, then they gained it bak at the end of World War one, only to lose it again to the Soviet union in 1944. They belonged to the Soviet Union for almost fifty years until the dossolution of the soviet Union in 1991. So, I guess you could say the Soviet Union had some impact on the Baltic Nations. As you can see, the Soviet Union was a harsh, dictatorship that only cared about their own gain. They took over other countries without thinking of the consequences.
