Second Persuasive Essay St. labre high school and middle school would be affected by the change of an eight period day to a seven period day, it would allow the high school to have more learning time in class but one less elective, it would allow the middle school to either continue to eat lunch with the high school or have another thing to do with the extra time. St. Labre academy should change the schedule because people will not have to be rushed to lunch or rushed to eat lunch , also if the middle school decides to not eat with the high school there will be more sitting opportunities at the cafeteria. Brynn Parker Ms. Barnett English 7 2/20/2024 Pluto Pluto is about 3.6 billion miles away from the sun. But, why is Pluto not a planet anymore? Well, Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet because it is not big enough to exert its orbital dominance. Even though it's not big enough, it doesn't mean Pluto can’t be a planet anymore. I feel Pluto should be a planet because it still orbits the sun and has enough mass to be round.

The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change.

The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.
It just depends on whether someone looks up or down. Space has helped hone the skills of scientist. By using satellite technology for space, they were able to use the same concept for Earth. Even with all the benefits of space, its major down falls are cost, risks, and low chances of reward for their efforts. Many space explorations cost fortunes with little to come out of it, making it almost seem not worth it. The risk is another key factor, with little known about the majority of space, many outliers can appear out of nowhere and can cause death to anyone that happens to be working up there.
Do you believe In Unidentified flying objects? Unidentified flying objects or UFOs are suspected to house aliens. I believe that UFOs and aliens are real and should be investigated by scientists. Aliens are the beings that are the ones who fly these UFOs. There are many people that believe in UFO and Aliens because of events that have happened.
Colonizing Mars Mars is often voted by people as being the most likely place for humans to colonize after we are done with Earth. This is often said because of Mars’s similar size to Earth and similar climate. However, Mars might not be the best place to go when we decide to make our first extra-terrestrial home. Whether you believe we should colonize another planet or not, evidence proves that moving to Venus is both logical and cost effective. There is much more promise in visiting Venus and much more we can learn.

But once we spread out into space and establish independent colonies, our future should be safe.” We like it our not, the humans of the future will live in the space, and life outside earth might influence dramatically the way we look. The growth of technology is constantly increasing everyday as people always find a way to either improve upon it or make something new out of it. Technology has been incorporated into almost everyone’s lives; whether it is from work, school, and even for their own entertainment. Almost anyone cannot go a day without seeing some sort of glowing screen; especially children. In 1999, 60% of children had access to a computer at home (Subrahmanyam et al p.124), which was only 18 years ago. Technology had advanced a whole lot in the past decade.
