Aron is a Jewish father during the Holocaust. The holocaust was the persecution and murder of over 12 million people, about 6 million of them were Jews, during World War 2. He knows that the end is coming for him and his wife, yet he is trying to think of a way to save his 5 year old daughter's life.
Aron and his family are as close to death as you can get. He hears trucks coming in his sleep, but he doesn't wake up. Then, when he finally does wake up, he knows that it is to late. When the SS arrives, he and his family are forced to start walking to the mass grave. This is when he gets an idea. He tells his daughter to go to a crowd of people and ask them to take her to the country side where he thinks that she will be safe.
