The LIV Golf Tour which originated last year has only drawn an average of 300,000 views while the PGA Tour has an average of drawing in almost 1 million people per tournament. The LIV Golf Tour is bad for sports and the people it has signed because the tour conveys terrible ideas about the sport of golf
When gifts and surprises are made, a little piece of ourselves go into them regardless of the simplicity of the surprise. In Katharine Bush’s short story, “Birthday Party,” the repercussions of a rejected surprise are seen through her use of heart-crushing imagery and keen details. he past 40 years have witnessed an increase of Asian athletes in American sports. In addition to their low population, earlier Asians lived in an era when racial discrimination and oppression impeded their access into sports (Zhao & Park, 2013). Asians had been discriminated against since the arrival of Chinese immigrants as cheap labor for the railroad and mining industries during the mid-1800s. This discrimination became more obvious during World War II when thousands of mostly Japanese Americans were forced out of their properties, separated from family and friends, and placed in internment camps. There they were subject to horrific living conditions, extreme deprivation and brutality.
I became apart of Marcus Golf my sophomore year after I switched over from soccer. With a smooth transition I was able to be successful very early on. I was nominated to be team captain my sophomore year when I was on JV, and when I got moved up to Varsity I continued to be a strong leader. Today I am going to talk to you about legendary golfers. There are many amazing golfers that have played throughout the years, like Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods, Seve Ballesteros, Bubba Watson, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, and Sam Snead. The three golfers I chose though are Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus. The three ways I picked the golfers to be legendary were (1) The golfer had to be retired from the PGA Tour and the Senior Tour, (2) the golfer had to have a memorable achievement while they were still in their career, and (3) the golfer had to have won many majors and tournaments.

It was in fourth grade when I started playing golf frequently. I would always run off into my backyard, drop my ball in the giant divot I usually play from, and start hitting the ball towards my golf flag. It was just a hobby at the time. I wasn’t super serious about trying to go to tournaments, nor was I trying to become like Tiger Woods. I just wanted to play the game.
As I walked through Wahlert Catholic, I looked around to familiar faces and thought to myself this is the year I will put myself out there and try new things, and make new friends. Freshman Orientation, I sat in bleachers and thought to myself, What I am going to do with myself this year? To all freshman, sometimes you walk in not knowing what you may do but you will figure it out eventually. I made my decision on Golf. My freshman year, I played the JV team for the first time, before that I never played on a team.
Is Golf a Sport? Many people would consider golf to be a game rather than a sport. Golfers do not have to be great athletes or in terrific physical condition. Golf is accessible to most people and it does not require a team (most times), so it seems to be a game. Golf does require skill, practice, and athleticism, the same as other sports.
