The main character in Spongebob is well Spongebob, a sponge that lives under the sea in a pineapple. He symbolizes the innoence of children and in all reality the curious and eager minds they have. Patrick and Squidward give Spongebob challenges throughout the show and challenge his ethics and personal morals. They repsond to him lovingly and angerly when Spongebob does something that seeoms to annoy the other characters or they are pleased with him when he learns something basic. They ussually go on wild adventures or just normal days at work, school, home, or around the town. The action that occurs during one episode is that Spongebob somehow gets a large tapeworm to follow him back to his hometown and the tapewarms starts destroying the town and the character's lives. The conflict is that the tapewarm will not leave Spongebob alone and every one is scared that the town is going to be completely eaten up. So to fix this the whole town gets togeother and pulls the whole city close to a cliff and makes the tapewarm follow them to the edge in which where the tapewarm falls and dies. The Theme of this episode is trust. Spongebob did not trust any of his friends to tell them about the mistake he had doen so he kept it a secret while the town was getting destroyed. During the episode, Spongebob is on the back of the tapewarm and he is afraid to jump into the safety of a friend's arms but he learns to trust his friends and jumps which saves his life. If he had trusted them before, the whole mess could have been avoided but in the end Spongebob learned his lesson and he learned to
