Gold Beach High School is a great school to study at and get a diploma, but we should make our education, even better by focusing on one aspect we’re missing, and that’s resource centers in high schools. Adding a resource center to Gold Beach High School would be a tremendously good source for students to be the best they can be.
A learning resource center is a facility within a school, staffed by a specialist, containing several information sources. The purpose of a resource center is to advance the learning experience of students and teachers in any educational area.(A learning Resource…) Having an online resource center would not only free up administrators’ time, but also provide help for students at any they need. Everyone is different, it’s a higher quality to have multiple resources for different situations and people with different learning skills. Not only do Resource Centers unburden teachers and have professional development in areas of the classroom it helps students engage more with their peers, it’s proven that it’s better to study with someone else because it forces people to talk about what they’re unsure about or don’t understand. This is valuable for the students that have a hard time understanding school work by themselves. Study groups could keep students on track, and others could be motivated or inspired to work harder.
