I do not feel that Brooklyn College I utilizing the two social media platforms to the best of their ability. As I research the way in which Brooklyn College interacts with their audience, I did not discover much of an interaction. Students would post questions and comments, however there would be no response. As I feel the way that BC distributes information is not appealing to its audience. This also coincides with the topics in which they are posting is also not appealing. Audiences want to see and read about topics that they directly can relate to, and topics that are beneficial to them.

For instance, BC only posts on both sites on week days. However, Harvard University posts to their platforms every day. Also Harvard shows footage of their library, steps to obtaining financial aid, and health discussions through scientific research. These are topics that directly connect with the audience. Also, it is shown in an appealing way through video footage. There should be a team in place that is monitoring the activity on both platforms, and also viewing other Universities platforms, such as Harvard that has an overwhelming audience. It is not easy to answer all the thousands of questions online in the comment section, however videos and other options can help. They could also set up a Q&A time to video stream with students, faculty, outsiders, to open the line of communication better. Encourage shares, because word of mouth is the best marketing
