One of these roles is as an educator it is important to be a good educator as you will be teaching participants key technical and tactical aspects in their sport, An example of when you would need to be a good educator is if you was coaching basketball to a group of children who are new to the and teaching them the lay-up shot, Being a good educator it is important to teach them the skills, for them to be later developed and improved. Coaching Styles Autocratic Autocratic coaching is a style of coaching that makes the coach tell people what to do. It tends to be used in situations where the participant needs to learn a specific technique to further their development. Instead of letting them learn it themselves the coach does by explaining exactly what it is that needs to be done and encouraging the client to follow their lead.
