Spotted Lake is a Lake near Osoyoos town, (British Columbia), Canada. The Lake has no input or outlet and contains extremely high levels of various minerals, mainly magnesium sulphate, sodium sulphate and calcium. A priori it may seem that a lake does not give much play beyond its beauty or its geological origin. But it is enough to pose the view on the surface to see that it looks nothing like others. Since during World War I a daily ton of minerals were extracted for the manufacture of ammunition, curiously with Chinese labor. In summer, most of the water evaporates and the remaining provided lots of round puddles. Pools have different colors depending on the minerals they contain and around water accumulations hardens leftover mineral to form natural walking routes. It is fifteen hectares that occupies and its contemplation provokes a sensation similar to that of seeing an abstract painting.
