The one movie that had the greatest impact on me takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Because of its quintessential score and recognizable characters, Star Wars started a revolution in the cinema. I understand that it affected so many people and their lives, but it also affected my life on the inside and the outside.

My first viewing of Star Wars wasn’t actually the first one movie, but the sequel. I walked in on my cousins watching it on a petite TV at my grandmother’s house. They were in the midst of the movie, so I watched the remainder of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. During the climax, you learn that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father. This revelation changed everything for me and I scantily knew the characters. I didn’t know who Han Solo was or why he was getting frozen in Carbonite, but I wanted to know what happens after he gets taken by the mystifying bounty hunter.
