Star Wars is an epic space opera film series created by George Lucas, which includes galactic battles, theatrical adventure, as well as chivalric romance. The music, mainly composed by John Williams, gives depth to the storyline and is something that fans of all ages will always remember. The specific Star Wars movie that I have chosen to analyze is Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, which was released on May 25, 1983.
All three of the stories start with the hero in the ordinary world. For the most part the ordinary world in all of the stories is a setting the hero is unpleased with. Katniss does not like the scarcity of food in her district, Ender gets bullied for being so smart, and Luke wants to leave the farm he lives on. All of them are not anyone you would expect to be involved in anything important. The call to adventure in all the stories are relatively similar.
The character, Luke Skywalker, in the film, “Star Wars: A New Hope,” clearly represents the Medieval Hero characteristics. Luke is a good moral character, he follows the code of chivalry, and he does not have a royal birth. The first piece of evidence is Luke follows the codes of chivalry. For example, he serves the liege/lord, which is Princess Leia, in valour and faith. He courageous followed the orders of Princess Leia.
This is due to the Republic and Separatists and the inability to agree to end the Clone Wars. Politically the Battle was also do to Palpatine being a fraud, and him doing this caused the imbalance in the force. Palpatine was manipulating the Senate to control both sides of the galaxy to let the Galactic Empire rule. This dictatorship of one man ruling the galaxy was dangerous and destructive for the light side. Anakin’s wife Padme was a political leader for the Republic in the senate and had a high influence on what Skywalker did.
The galactic civil war started do to order 66. Order 66 was an order given by the Emperor (palpatine), The order 66 was for all clones which were on the Republic side to terminate all Jedi. The clones had a memory trip that, when triggered it commences any order given, such as order 66. After many Jedi died only few survived. The republic was dieing out, and a new age called the Empire arose.

The Goonies and The Hunger Games are similar and different regarding The Hero's Journey such as Test Allies and Enemies, The Mentor, and the Reward Each has a number of key differences and key similarities. Each can demonstrate the hero's journey. The Goonies have the Fratellis as one of their Enemies chasing them down because they don't want them to find the treasure nor want them to tell the cops where they are. In The Hunger Games Katniss has to fight for her life against almost everyone and she has to fight for a very long period of time before she wins the Hunger Games. A key similarity is that they are both basically fighting/trying to get their prize/victory for example Katniss is trying to win The Hunger Games and the Goonies are trying to get the
Reflection: Star Wars – Hero’s Journey Star Wars, one of the most famous films to this day, was written and directed by George Lucas. Star Wars a film that follows the story of Luke Skywalker, a young man from the planet of Tatooine living with his aunt and uncle. But, his life is forever changed when his uncle decides to buy a pair of seemingly normal droids, R2D2 and C3po. Skywalker shortly comes to find that stored inside of R2-D2 is a message from Princess Leia, who is being held hostage by the Galactic Empire, asking for help from Obi-Wan Kenobi. So Luke Skywalker, along with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Chewy, R2D2 and C3po embark on a mission to rescue the beautiful Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader.
The Jedi civil war refers to a war between the sith and the jedi but to outsiders sith were also considered jedi with different philosophies. Prior to the jedi civil war was the mandalorian war where the galactic republic was attacked by the mandalorian clans. The mandalorians were highly feared and prior to the war unmatched in combat capability except by jedi/sith. Although the republic was quick to enter war with the mandalorians the jedi were slow to respond and took time in considering the outcomes. Among the jedi order were two jedi knights known as Revan and Malak who were impatient and sought to quickly rush to combat the mandalorians but the council rejected their proposal and they decided to go fight anyway.

The chief protagonist of Star Wars episodes IV–VI, Luke must learn to control his emotions and desires in order to master the powers of a Jedi Knight, powers that flow from a mystic connection to the Force, an energy field created by life itself. Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker)- A fallen Jedi Knight, now Dark Lord of the Sith and a fearsome evil presence.
May 25, 1977 the release of Star Wars: A New Hope, just another Sci-Fi movie that was set for failure. Little did the movie industry know , this franchise would be one of the most successful in movie history. Lets not forget the cultural appeal Star Wars would make and is continuing to do so. Star Wars has a found its place in society and is now an established staple film that everyone knows about. With its famous saying “May the force be with you” it is hard not to know where that saying is from.

:The Galactic Civil War was a galactic power struggle in which the Alliance to Restore the Republic waged a rebellion against the Galactic Empire in an attempt to restore democratic rule to the galaxy. The origins of rebellion could be traced to the Clone Wars, when rebel cells were equipped by the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order to fight against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. After Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, transformed the Republic into the Empire and destroyed the Jedi Order, many rebel cells began fighting against the Empire. A number of these cells eventually joined together and became the Rebel Alliance.
There were many factors and influences during the resistance period of World War Two. The resistance movement was used to resist the Nazi political party from killing the Jews. The Bielski family started a camp to protect Jews from Nazis. The communists and non-communists were two competing groups that made up the resistance movement. Resistance emerged to challenge Nazi control during World War Two.
While in both movies, Hunger Games and Divergent, share similar characteristics of a dystopian genre, they do not take on the same features as each other. This is usually because the structure is rigid and predictable although there can be certain differences. These differences and similarities could be their themes, setting or costumes that are used in the novel or film. In the Hunger Games and Divergent, the theme of rebellion is seen throughout the film.
