I don 't know what Wiley got the first semester in the regular school year, but it seems he has advanced his first semester grade and put himself in a position/passed the first semester of summer school. If I am reading into what your saying a little more, its that you are disappointed in Wiley 's production thus far. What Wiley could do to advance himself for the next day/ the rest of the semester, would be to read the chapter, answer the questions at the end of each section to prepare for the content, and take the practice test at the end of his chapter.
I want to go to Hoosier Girls State so I can better my community when I return. I can use the new leadership skills that I acquire at Girls State to help run my school’s Student Council, National Honor Society, and Sunshine Society. Leadership skills are very important for me because I am currently the Vice President of Sunshine Society, and I will be campaigning for President next year. The National Junior Honor Society will be an opportunity for me to show that even with a learning disability like dyslexia. Hard work strong determination and willingness you can overcome any obstacles you face. I know I can be a valuable member of the NJHS because, I carry all the qualities required by this organization: character, citizenship, leadership and service.
Adults from the community are invited to lend their expertise and to connect with the student “campers.” While the adult leaders spend months planning, we know that we cannot possibly do this without high school student volunteers. It is their connection to the campers that makes the program successful. Many of the high school students are returning volunteers and it is a joy to see the high-vies, hugs, and chatter as they reconnect.
The Summer Stay Scholarship would not only help me to achieve my educational goals but will also benefit my future career. By taking summer classes I will be able to complete all of class requirements to graduate on time. This will also allow me to complete other classes that I would like so specialize in during my time in school. Specifically, I would like to achieve my minor in sign language. Without taking summer courses I will not be able to receive this minor without an extra semester at school or overburdening myself for a few semesters.
I have been blessed with many great opportunities in the past three years to serve and increase my leadership skills. I have played soccer for my high school, and was voted Team Captain of the varsity team by my teammates. I absolutely loved growing closer to each one of those girls, and being an example to them both on and off of the field. In high school, I have balanced my membership in eight different clubs.
