Melissa McDaniel is an American writer and photographer. She is from Portland, Oregon. Melissa received B.A. in history from the University of Portland State University and the M.L.S. from the University of Washington. She is also a former Librarian. She is a freelance writer who lives in New York City. Melissa is a photographer that tries to raise the treatment awareness of dogs. She is not only an author of biography’s such as W.E.B. Dubois (1999), Spike Lee (1999) and the biography of Stephen Hawking (1994). She also claimed a lot of books about certain places such as Arizona (2009), North Dakota (2010), South Dakota (2006) and New Mexico (2008). M. McDaniel also published books about the historic events of the United States such as The Great depression (2012), The declaration of Independence (2011) and Ellis Island (2011). I really enjoyed reading this biography; I think that it is one of the most interesting biographies that I have ever read. Melissa McDaniel, the author, did a remarkable job on making this book interesting for young adults. It has a nice language that can be understood by any one that speaks English. Even though it’s a book about a physicist, it doesn’t include all the scientific calculations, which would make the book less motivating to read. This text is easy to follow and it doesn’t skip from one idea to the next one, its simply blending them in together. This biography has a lot of pictures of Stephen Hawking, which makes it a better whole, because you can see what the writer is talking about, by showing it in the
