Stephen King has worked hard making all his novels. Stephen King is known for putting his nightmares on paper. After taking a look at the life and work of Stephen King, it is apparent that this writer deserves recognition as a profounder American author.
Stephen King came into the world as a writer. He was born on 21st September 1947 in Portland, Maine. ("Stephen King." 4) King had a hard life when he was growing up he had a lot of problems. When he was a child, he witnessed his friend die in a train accident. He had no memory of the event. ("Interesting Facts" 2) The train accident was really bad his friend passed away. His father abandoned the family. ("Interesting Facts” 2) King suffered from alcohol and drug abuse. He has remained sober since the late 80’s. ("Interesting Facts” 2) In June 1999 King was in an accident; he was hit by a vehicle and suffered many severe injuries and fractures. ("Stephen King." 4)

He was inspired to write by his father’s old copy of H. P. Lovecraft’s The Lurker in the Shadows. He also went to school. He went to the ‘University of Maine’ and received a Bachelor of Science degree that also inspired him in so many ways. ("Stephen King." 4) He was influenced by his nightmares.
