Stephen Fuller Austin was born on November 3,1793 in Austinville,VA. Stephens parents were Moses and Mary Austin. He was the first born of three children. Stephen went to Colchester Academy when he was five then he went to Transylvania University when he got older, but he didn 't graduate because his parents had financial problems.
Monster,written by, Walter Dean Myers was a novel about a teenager named Steve Harmon that was accused of being a part of a robbery and a murder. The youth crimes comes to play in Steve’s life because he is a teenager and being tried as an adult. After reading the novel it makes me believe that Steve Harmon was not guilty. One possible reason why Steve Harmon is not guilty could be, because in the story Steve says all he did on the day of the robbery was go to the store to get some mints.
In the essay “Nanny boo-boos” by John Leo, the author discusses how in the attempts made to make everyday life safer, it is actually encouraging creeping nannyism which is described by the author as proposing a program that appears limited and reasonable, but then escalates until a demented level of government intrusion is reached. Leo begins his essay by writing about the different types of bullying in the school, mentioning that there are other types aside from just violence and intimidation. The author goes on to explain how the extended criteria for bullying makes most students bullies, to remedy this Leo writes how seating in lunchrooms may have to be rearranged and an anti clique rule be put in place as per a school workbook.
In the crime of Steven Harmon you should find the defendant not guilty because there was no solid evidence of Steven Harmon being there at the time of the crime. In the hearing of the case we have all the witness testimonies and stories of what happened that day, what they know, and how they were involved but not once did we hear Mr.Harmon’s name mentioned at a culprit at the scene.

There are several cultures throughout our world, country, state, and even our city we live in today. You may not notice it, but there are several differences that make us unique; yet, the greater portion of us also have similarities. Steve Harmon has grown up wanting to fit in with others; he focuses on school striving to be the best. Almost daily Steve harassed by gangs so he comes up with the decision of joining on himself. Gangs are close to what you visualize in movies; gang members want the respect of others and to show that you must prove that you are tough and worthy.
