Steven Paul Jobs was an electronic genius of his time who invented products with extraordinary capabilities. He started the company, today known as Apple. In his time at Apple, he had the opportunity to create the iPhone, iPad, and one of his most coveted creations, the Macintosh. In his life he was also a member of Walt Disney Company’s board of directors during their acquisition of Pixar, who was a major player in the animation industry. After being ousted from Apple, he became CEO of a failed computer company called NeXT. After his death, Steve’s biographer, Walter Isaacson, called Jobs a “creative entrepreneur and leader of several electronic industries.” Steve Jobs was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Later after adopting Jobs’ sister Patricia, the family would move to Mountain View, California. During his time, Jobs’ took a calligraphy course, which would later develop its way into becoming a font in the Apple Macintosh. He also met Chrisann Brennen, who would later become his partner in life. After deciding to drop out of Reed College, Jobs went to work at Atari, where his interest in computers and anything in relation reached a new high. After staying at Atari for several months, he wanted to go on a trip to India to visit the monasteries. After shortly returning back to Atari, he was assigned to create a circuit board for a game Atari was a currently developing called “Breakout”. Atari wanted to pay for every board that Jobs’ created, Jobs’ stated that the pay was $700 (instead of the $5,000 paid), so Woz’s pay for the boards was $350.
