Imagine you are living in a time period where there are only three basic goals, food, water, and protection. A place where you thoughts are not occupied by what new, ridiculous thing a presidential candidate said or by what Kardashion got some ultramodern chemical injected into their body. A place where the air is always fresh, and where there is a world a things to discover. A place where your use of objects is up to your interpretation, not one of a middle-aged man from the 1800s. If you are anything like me that sounded pretty good, and if not, I truthfully don 't know what to tell you, because this is exactly the type of place I would go back to, given the choice. The thought of living with the purpose just to survive, and for your survival to be completely reliant on your ability to provide for yourself is truly fascinating to me. If I could live for one year in any period of time I would most want to live in the Stone Ages. During the Stone Ages there was no religion and no war, and if I am being entirely truthful, that is so liberating from what we have today. I feel as though during the Stone Ages they embraced the fact that all humans’ DNA is 99.9%, even though they were unaware of that science during that time. During the …show more content…

Even with the amazing knowledge I believe I would gain from visiting the Stone Age, I certainly would only want to visit for a year. I am incredibly greatly to live in the year and place I do for a multitude of reasons. In the year of 2016 women are allowed the same rights as men, we can vote, receive a fair education, and in most cases we are viewed as equals. I am also incredibly grateful to have grown up in the Tahoe-Truckee area, it has provided me with the opportunity to find a great deal of outdoor activities that I am passionate about and will carry for the rest of my life. So even though I believe going to the Stone Age would be awe-inspiring, I think given the choice of past or present, I would choose right here, right
