The article that is written by Kathryn Stoner and Michael McFaul which structures an image about the West’s role in intervening the problems that have been faced by Russia, specifically the economic descent. Kathryn Stoner is a political scientist and Senior fellow at the freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. McFaul as a a U.S. Ambassador to the Russia Federation (2012-2014) and a professor of political science in the same university as Stoner as well. Some of the arguments that are stated in the article is the “too much” camp which contends that the West aggressively forced Russian in enduring the economic hardships and the “too weak” section that posits the development of Russia’s dictatorship caused by the consent of the West.
