Due to my passion to help stop gun violence, I decided to do project, on preparing an effective gun violence speech more specifically formulating a speech for President Barack Obama. In this month alone in the United States, we have had more than three counts of mass shooting and of October 21st 2015, there was also another mass shooting in the United States. With so many shooting and death totals, gun violence has because a novelty because everyone citizens, public and the media all have their versions or opinions to the current situation. With gun violence being widespread, there are numerous accesses to information’s regarding gun in general and due to numerous accesses to information’s, the interested party has accesses to either conduct or explore a research.
Good Evening Mr. President first of all I would like to thank you for picking me as your special advisor for the democratic party. Currently in the United States there are countless amounts of issues taking place but, the most important at the moment is the issue on crime and gun violence. Gun violence is a very heavy topic to talk on and there will be numerous people who would love to hear restriction put on guns and then there will be some who would hate gun restriction laws. I have recently read a book by Chris Matthews called Hardball: How Politics Is Played Told By One Who Knows The Game. In this book, Mathews gives several political tips which can help you gain support from the American people on the issue of crime and gun violence.
Nevertheless, that will not solve anything. How can we make the world a better place or even ourselves better if we can’t even talk about the topic in the first place? How can we even memorialize these victims of gun violence without talking about it? I was told if I was to talk about gun control no one will listen or hear me, but I do not think that is true, not everyone will agree on the same thing ever. For example, Rosa Parks no one thought black people should sit in the front of the bus that did not stop her from fighting for what she believed in.
In order for us to achieve the goal of making America the future it wants to be, we need to reform gun laws and assure that firearms are in safe and legal hands. We need to unite to stop the illegal immigration flowing into this country and slowly bring an end to climate change and global warming. Gun laws in this country are way too lenient and it needs to be stopped. It’s tragic to say that gun violence, such as mass shootings happen so often in today’s society. Compared to countries around the world, the United States has the highest mass shooting rate.
To protect ourselves from the death, we possess our guns, but these guns can be the boomerang that brings the death back to our families and us. Today, we should imprint the solution that I suggest today. Clincher: as we are full-grown adults, we are responsible for handing down the safe and beautiful world to prosperity. We cannot just endanger our friends and family through gun violence. Thus, we should put more attention to this problem and build a free world from gun violence together.
My topic of Interest that I will be talking to you today is gun violence. Gun violence is one of the most dangerous forms of violence in the US. Just recently gun violence was the major cause of the of Largest mass shooting in US history. As the US continues to grieve after the mass shooting that happened recently the world continues to complain and understand that gun violence laws aren’t working. Most people say don’t laws should be more strict and others say gun laws should not exist at all.
We need to reestablish the fact guns are not the cause for violence it is the person behind the gun pulling the trigger. The fact people are saying they fear someone with a gun is outrageous. All my life I've seen a gun sit there not one time did IT get up and put the trigger. We need to come to realize it's a people problem, it's mental health, it is everything across the board. But not once should the gun be to blame.

Ever since the inception of this country 240 years ago, guns have been an integral part of the American identity; a sense of lawlessness, individualism, personal autonomy and freedom. They were the tools that liberated us, and gave us independence over a tyrannical, unrepresentative empire. However, in more recent years, these tools have been used more and more frequently in mass shootings, some of which are occurring at schools, targeting teachers and children. Since the infamous shooting at Columbine High School 19 years ago, we have had several shootings at schools, and we tend to get “thoughts and prayers”, a gesture with good intentions, but little actual progress made. This problem can be contributed to the increasing power of guns, and a lack of mental health coverage, gun
Imagine sitting in a classroom laughing at a joke your friend made, or planning on going to the movies after school, or even listening to someone’s persuasive speech essay. When suddenly someone bursts through the door with an automatic weapon in hand. You and your friends run and hide in the corner of the classroom, you are all afraid that you will never be able to see the faces of your friends, teachers, or family members ever again. How could something like this happen you may ask? It happens often because of how lenient gun laws are in America and something needs to change.
The topic I chose for my informative speech was gun violence in the United States. I chose this topic so that others may be aware of all the violence related to a firearm and to inform them of the dangers associated with a gun in the United States. Everyday we turn on the news and hear about a new tragedy involving some sort of firearm. Therefore choosing gun violence as the topic for my speech seemed appropriate. I believe my topic opened the eyes of my audience because of the effect it had on them, especially being that I myself was a victim to gun violence and went through the whole ordeal of being hospitalized and all other effects that follows after being shot.
