In the story, “The Story of an Hour.”, you can find many examples of irony. From situational, to dramatic, there is a bunch of irony. One of the most scene pieces of irony, is the death of Louise’s husband. When her husband is found dead at a train accident she isn’t sad, she is actually happy. As the story explains the look of that day, you don’t notice anything unpleasant or gloomy. Infact, they make that day sound like the perfect day in summer. Even our protagonist Louise is not upset and is infact enjoying this wonderful day. As you read the story more, more pieces of irony pie are cut, until the ending.
