Strengths Of A College Student

What skills would you recommend a college student to have? Will it be to go to class? There are many but I will be choosing a few that I know from experience. I believe there are many skills that a college student needs but the top three that I feel is essential are responsibility, time management and the ability to take good notes. These are things that I've experienced in my college life so far. Responsibility is something my parents say I need to work on. I would say it’s something I've got better at during the past couple of years, In college, being responsible can be helpful in many ways, especially when making the transition from high school to college. In high school, you go from having a lot of things spoon-fed and handed to you to do it on your own. In college, we are in control of our own classes and are responsible to figure things out and seek help on our own. Unlike high school, college classes aren’t typically one class right after another. You will have to be responsible enough to use your time wisely in between classes. I know personally that skipping class just because the teachers don't take attendance isn't the best idea. For example, some nights I have hours of homework to complete, a reading to finish and on top of that I have work, so it's important to me that I have a plan so I can meet due dates. A helpful tip I learned for not forgetting to do things writing down assignments the teacher assigns in a journal and prioritizing homework that is due first. I also set a reminder on my phone so I won't forget. When doing homework, I try not to spend too much time on a specific assignment if I am stuck because it can be stressful and I start to get annoyed and lose interest.
