I ‘m one those people fortunate enough to be able to take classes right outside my own neighborhood at the local High school. GRCC has many evening class you can take there, and it’s nice to only have to drive 2 minutes to class. I also believe that the education is very well structured at GRCC just like many of the Universities around the area. GRCC has just as many facilities for the students to use as most Universities have. Community colleges provide an excellent opportunity for student, who don’t have the money for a university, or are simple not ready to take on the whole university

In 2013 at Old Dominion University for four years of college, only 23.1 percent of students graduated, five years of college, only 45.2 percent of students graduated, and for six years of college, only 51.2 percent of students graduated. It is kind of upsetting that not many students graduate at the same time as everyone else. One of the reasons why is that certain students do not take their work seriously at all. But, if a student works late, it would be hard for them to get their schoolwork done by the day it is due. As a Thomas Nelson Community College student, I need to get my degree as soon as everyone else does, even though college is difficult.
My time at Ashford University was well spent, it was strong and long however merited. I testify that my major of Liberal Arts was the best alternative for me. I feel as if I am a good candidate for GCU for many reasons. Going to college for many students is just a normal part of life. But for college professor, Andrew Delbanco, the American college has a higher purpose. In the article “College at Risk”, Delbanco states that colleges should be promoting critical thinking among students, through knowledge of the past and the interaction with each other; as well as, help them discover their talents and passions and figure out what they want to do in life. This type of education is called liberal arts and for Delbanco, it represents the ideal education.
