Well, there is a particular character, Lord Capulet, who prevents this from happening. Juliets father Lord Capulet has a major impact on the story of Romeo and Juliet, his drastic mood swings that take place throughout the play affected the play so direly that if they were not as severe that it drove huis one and only daughter to pursue the only son of her family's enemy and drive his daughter Juliet to suicide. Lord Capulet causes his daughter to chase after Romeo, the enemy of his family, by throwing a house party priority for his daughter to find love, that is when Count Paris walks up to him to speak about himself marrying Lord Capulet, Daughter Lady Juliet.
When a person undergoes a break-up, they usually go through the nine stages of grief according to Psychology Today. One of the stages of grief is depression; in “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare shows this stage of a breakup. Shakespeare uses allusions and oxymoron to show Romeo’s miserable personality after a break up. By using allusion, Shakespeare characterizes Romeo as depressed.
The mood changes throughout the scene. Juliet’s impatience turns to horror when she believes Romeo is dead, and then to anguish and confusion when she realises that Romeo has killed Tybalt. In Romeo and Juliet act 5 scene 3, Romeo will be displayed as distraught and depressed using blocking, vocal delivery and visual delivery. He will be displayed this way because he thinks Juliet is dead and he is so depressed he kills himself over it. To show that Romeo is distressed, the blocking will have him pacing back and forward in front of the body like an animal in a cage. Additionally, when he drinks the poison, he will fall near Juliet, so that the audience may see that he is depressed over her loss. Vocal delivery is also essential in showing emotion.
In William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet I interpreted a gloomy and tense tone throughout the duration of the iconic fight scene between the Capulets and Montagues. In my interpretation, I thought that the fight would be provoked by the impulsiveness of both Tybalt and Mercutio, and progress to a heart wrenching fight between Romeo and Tybalt to show the strain that it causes on the newly intertwined houses. Baz Luhrmann’s film version slightly differentiated from mine in the stance that they didn’t use swords or guns for the dramatic effect. Aristotle displays how stronger emotions such as love can bring two individuals together, further bound as one. It has been seen how emotions have a big impact on people’s perspectives throughout their lifetime. One’s sense of feeling can heavily influence severe life decisions. William Shakespeare’s play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, discusses how teenage star-crossed lovers influence the known feud occurring between both the Montague and Capulet houses.

The plot focuses on the theme of conflict and consequences, using deep characterisation, descriptive language and high drama to entertain. Act 3 Scene 1 focuses on a brutal feud between two enemies and Act 3 Scene 5 follows the patriarchal society’s approach to women marriage and societal expectations. Shakespeare forces the audience to engage with the idea of conflict and what it must have been like to live through this time. Shakespeare cleverly utilises a changing atmosphere in Act 3 Scene 1 to expertly entertain his audience.
