__ Structural Measure: Structural measures focus on the fixed characteristics of an organization, its professionals and staff. These measures distinguish between a capability or asset and the activity that may rely on that structure. In addition, structural measures are typically based on the organization or professional as the unit of assessment in the denominator. Example: The extent to which a facility use of electronic health records is implemented facility - wide. Numerator = Number of departments with EHR; Denominator = Number of all departments in facility.

Goal #1. Narrow the gap between cost of caring for patients with wounds and reimbursement.
Cost of advanced wound care often exceeds the Medicare reimbursement (Vrtis, 2013). This goal required a baseline of pre- intervention cost and reimbursement in order to identify if there net financial loss is reduced by the intervention.

Goal #3
Outcomes measures the effectiveness of the treatment revived. Wound improvement is indicated by a reduction in size of the wound. The ruler technique (Length, width and depth) is a reliable and an industry standard measurement method. There are other reliable measurement tools available, however, standardized methods of measuring wounds tracks healing rates and improved documentation (Shah, Wallak and Shah, 2012).
Measurement would consist of a reduction of the overall size of the wound
INDICATOR /MEASURE THRESHOLD:
(i.e., the minimum acceptable level of performance) The goal is to have an improvement in all three areas. 1) A balance between the cost of providing wound care in the primary care setting by a NP and the reimbursement.
2) An improvement in self-efficacy scores from baseline to after the wound care workshop. Goal for an improvement in the Likert score of > 1 point per question asked, post workshop.
AND
3) Measurable reduction in wound size, indicating healing of the wound.
