You see tension in the different types of teenagers(different lifestyles) interacting with eachother. Clarie and Bender(John) showed a lot of tension, but so did Bender and everyone else. They finally decided to put aside their differences and make peace. The first placed I noticed it was when they helped Bender when he stole the screw from the door. They also looked like they were becoming friends when they were smoking pot together. 2. What types of leadership services do the members of this group provide? I think the Vice Principal showed Authoritarian Leadership. Telling people they have to write essays and telling them they could not talk or move. I feel like Bender was the emergent leader. How do these subcultures vie other subcultures: In what ways do these subcultures remind you of cultures and subcultures represented at your university? I related the subcultures with the socioeconimical class. You could tell that Clair and Andrew were from a higher class than Allison and Bender. The people in the high class had more polish and manners than those in the lower class. I think this is the same no matter where you go. You can see the different classes within the college. I do not think it is as extememe as it is in the movie, but it was the same way in high school. Those in a lower class would tend to be the trouble makers. 5. How does cohesiveness develop in this group? What specific actions, from what characters contribute to the cohesiveness? The first time I saw cohession from the group is when the whole group was defending Bender from when he broke the door so it would shut. The next time I saw it was when Bender broke away from the Vice Principal’s closet and he was hiding under the table. The Vice Principal walked in and Bender hit his head and yelled. He asked what a certain noise was and everyone in the group started coughing and making noises so he would not realize that it was
