Suicide bombing has been considered to be an attack that is an offensive operation, which depends on the death of those who are attacked and in some cases, there are those who are left injured from the violent act. Suicide bombing is done in a non-deliberated and/or non-direct way, but this is also a way to try and change a society or societies way of thinking (Ibanez, 2014). Suicide bombing was first seen towards the end of World War II when the Japanese sent pilots, Kamikazes, to attack Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and then in the year of 1980, suicide bombings tapered down until the violent acts were picked back up in the year of 1981 and have been carried to this day (Wikipedia, 2017). “The National Counterterrorism Center in Washington reports 949 suicide bombers killing 10,119 …show more content…

This means that the bombers are conducting actions/attacks based on what they feel would best benefit the organization or group. The bomber’s use behaviors that can be or are the most effective way to achieve their set goal (s) (Ibanez, 2014). There are two main reasons for why bombers do what they do. The first is, bombers do not isolate particular targets, they attack a group or groups and a campaign (s) by using strict guidelines, strategies, and schedules. The second method is to attack so that the desired goal is achieved (Ibanez, 2014). It has also been reported by experts that even though bombers are not necessarily willing to blow their selves up, they are willing to blow their selves up for their greater cause (s). “It is not a coincidence that suicide terrorist organizations tend to describe themselves as the champions of their own national, ethnic or religious groups, volunteers for suicide missions consider their death as a sacrifice for the sake of their own community, and terrorist propaganda try to promote this idea among their own reference community” (Ibanez, 2014, p.
