Aeshia was a student at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York until fall 2003 when she had to move out due to the fact that her child’s father became physically abuse. Aeshia life became very tough, she had to sleep on beaches she took her son with her both of them stayed at an EAU. It became difficult when she had to wake up early in the morning and leave her children with her girlfriend. Her way getting to school was by riding the train, waking up early in the morning to get to Brooklyn. Adriana, Aeshia, Asad and Johnny were homeless college students.
In a perfect world, the simple answer or recommendation on improving homelessness chemical dependency would be to end poverty finally once and for all yet that is easier said than done. With the development of new diseases, these individuals are being exposed and spreading diseases to other individuals. Substance abuse cannot improve without more emphasizes being placed on creating stability for this population. Just like any mental disorder, addiction should be treated with the same urgency. Treating someone for a day does not improve their situation tomorrow because they will still be homeless.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., on 02/25/16, Adrionna was brought to the Arise Youth Center by her mother, Donna Quinn, and her step-father, Michael Quinn. They reported they were not able to manage her behavior and wanted her to stay at Arise in the Runaway/Homeless Program. Donna reported Adrionna skips school often, is failing her classes, will not do her chores, fights with them, makes sexual remarks on Facebook, and leaves the home without letting anybody know. Donna and Adrionna were arguing last week and Donna put a bar of soap in Adrionna’s mouth. Donna also reported if Arise does not change Adrionna’s behavior she wants to release custody of her to DSS.

He is beyond angered at the lack of knowledge shown by the individuals planning this shelter and provides an in-depth article outlining why he believes the proposal to create a homeless shelter is unfair to the members of the community and detrimental to those being placed in the shelter due to a lack of services nearby. Addy Rutter wrote an engaging argument about a plan to create a homeless shelter, however, he relies too heavily on pathos, fails to address solutions, and has many assumptions regarding the topic.
