No broken windows, no broken locks, no outside evidence to prove that anyone else could have entered the home undetected. The police refused to believe it could’ve been anyone other than Michael. That same night there was a homeless man, Richard Tuite, who had been wandering the streets, was reportedly knocking on doors and peering through windows of homes in the Crowes’ neighborhood asking for a girl named Tracy. Tuite had also been seen standing in the Crowe family’s driveway staring at the house by a neighbor. Tracy had a very strong resemblance to Stephanie.
The police also found muddy footprints by the window sill at the crime scene that were left by the kidnapper, who I think was Bruno Richard Hauptmann.
In the wake of testing six different substances with three different pointers, we presumed that the obscure substance was headache medicine such as, Aspirin. The hair found at the crime scene had a place with Anna; this was found via painstakingly looking at every person of interest's' hair under a magnifying instrument and contrasting them with the hair found at the crime scene. The fingerprint on the bottle of the drink was Alex Garcia's and this was figured out by recognizing every person of interest's' sort of fingerprint and the fingerprint found at the crime scene coordinated Alex's. The sloppy shoe print that was at the crime scene has a place with Anna's
After searching the apartment and not finding any trace of her the parents called the police. The kidnapping attracted a lot of publicity and the police vowed to find whoever was responsible. A ransom note was found by the police that said “Get $20,00 reddy & waite for word. Do not notify fbi or police. Bills in 5’s and 10’s.”
The Mirabal’s father had been engaged in a risky love affair with another woman, and Margarita is one of the daughters of the family formed by the secret couple. After receiving valuable information regarding three of the imprisoned Mirabal sisters from her mother’s cousin, Margarita transferred the news—on the label from a can of tomato paste—to an anxious Patria who was relieved to hear that her sisters were alright. Margarita, of her own accord, made the great risk to smuggle the priceless note to Patria. If she had been caught, death may have ensued for the poor woman, and the incarcerated siblings might have been killed as well. The great courage Margarita displayed is an act worthy of lavish praise, yet none was given.
Outside of the baby’s window there was a ladder the kidnapper had left. A wood expert was called to testify that the ladder used to kidnap the Lindbergh’s son included a plank from the floor of Hauptmann’s attic”(Newton 220). Secondly, Hauptmann’s handwriting was compared to the ransom notes and they did match (Barclay). Meanwhile, when the police had searched Hauptmann’s house they found the ransom money in a closet (Hart). One of the bills from the money was tracked down to a gas station.
The stranger agreed to furnish a token of the child’s identity. Condon was accompanied by a bodyguard, except while talking to “John.” He obviously didn’t want to tip off the kidnapper that there was anyone else there. During the next few days, Dr. Condon repeated his advertisements, urging further contact and stating his willingness to pay the ransom. A baby’s sleeping suit, as a token of identity, and a seventh ransom note were received by Dr. Condon on March 16.
This was achieved by identifying the suspect. According to the gel, suspect number two’s DNA was found at the crime scene. This is known because the crime scene DNA and suspect two’s DNA both traveled the same distanced. And said before DNA is very polymorphic; no two pieces of DNA will be the same when cut by the same enzyme (Edvotek, 2014). This is also shown in Hyun-Jung Choi’s lap report.
Most kidnappers have big reasons to kidnap the individual. Either stalking that person for some time or knowing how the family would react and what they would pay, if the child went missing are big reasons people take who they do. When these guys decided to just talk the richest man in town’s son, they didn’t seem to understand this child wasn’t missed by many. The use of flashbacks and character development in this short story would have helped explain why he wasn’t missed. Instead, the author just includes a note from the father
As Ransom continues walking while seeking out refuge, ransom gains the trust of a woman on the look out for Harry. “The monotonous voice and the limited rage of the woman;s vocabulary did not express such emotion, but Ransom was standing sufficiently near to perceive that she was trembling and nearly crying.” Therefore, Ransom tell the woman that he will attend to the house and make sure Harry is returned. Even though the woman is grateful, Ransom’s promise holds no value until fulfilled and when Harry is sent home, the woman now is able to judge Ransom’s noble promise.
The wind howled as it passed through the large windows of the Williams family mansion, mimicking the screams of Mrs. Williams as she cried over the bodies of her five months old twin sons. They were found lying in their cribs cold, pale and motionless with pillows over their faces. Her screams echoed, waking the whole house. The first to reach her was her eldest son Christian, he held her tightly as she sat next to the twin’s cribs, eyes wide with her hand over her mouth. The staff followed shortly after then Mr. Williams and their only daughter Eleanor.
Located in the center of town, Sammy’s A&P is five miles out from the beach; if any closer, the girls’ attire may not cause the same uproar Sammy witnesses. Unfortunately for Queenie, as Lengel finished quibbling with truck inventory, he decries the girls’ dress, noting “this isn’t the beach” (653). Queenie led a furious attempt to refute Lengel’s claim, stating “my mother asked me to pick up a jar of herring snacks” (652). Her proclaimed innocence is futile, however, as Lengel denounces their behavior as characteristic of “juvenile delinquency” (653). Upon this decree, Sammy recognizes the girls hastily about to leave and announces to Lengel, “I quit,” following with “you didn’t have to embarrass them” (654).

Two private detectives provide assistance with the on-going police investigation in order to bring the truth to light. As the plot unfolds, it turns out that the kidnapping was only faked and that the little girl is very well. The police captain is raising the child with his wife giving her a happy alternative than living with her mother (cf. Heerum 2010: 38). This thriller has a very concealed twist; the kidnapping case fabricated by the police captain definitely
