1) Shulush Homa represented the relationship that existed between the Europeans and the Amerindians because just like the Europeans and Amerindians, Shulush Homa was given guns, gifts, and honors as a gift in return for his good-doings. 2) The Red Shoe 's experience from the period of European colonization reveals multiple themes. First, even though the epidemics, wars, and territorial loss related with European settlement endangered Amerindians, many began to adapt new technologies and new political possibilities, thus started to thrive. Second, after long period of isolation, the Americans began to participate in global events, being influenced by the economic and political demands of Europe.
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is a poem by Theodor Geisel otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. This children story, would best be criticized by the Marxism Theory. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels are German philosophers also referred to as the founders of Marxism; the main principles of Marxism is the social and economical equality. Due to the industrial revolution and spreading of capitalism their theories and ideas were made to achieve a society in which the class structure would be put to an end and all people were considered equal. Their beliefs and ideas also reveal that there will always be conflict with the upper, middle and lower classes and which may be reflected in literature and other forms of expression.

As the son of Ruth and Macon Dead, he is part of the upper black society in a wealthy, privileged family. Grown up under these circumstances, Milkman has a traumatized father since his father witnessed the murder of Jake, Macon’s father, trying to protect his land which is in the way of powerful white people as a young guy.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, also known as “The Grinch”, is a 2000 family-based, Christmas-themed, comedy film delivered by Universal and Imagine Entertainment and based on the 1957 children’s picture book written by Dr. Seuss of the same name. Directed by Ron Howard (who also directed “Splash”, “Rush”, and “The Dilemma”), “The Grinch” was the first full-length feature film adapted from the series of outstanding and beloved Dr. Seuss tales. Since the film was the first to be based off one of Seuss’s famous children's books, many additions had to be made to the storyline to make the film fit the era’s “standards” by bringing it up to feature-length, leaving the young and older audience intrigued, and most importantly keeping the legacy of Dr. Seuss's works intact. In addition, this included adding some vivid information about the
When people are asked to name some of the classic Christmas movies, they are quick to say movies such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (1964), Frosty the Snowman (1969), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), but they forget to mention the dismal, chilling The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). But why is that, doesn’t Tim Burton still show the joy that Christmas brings, but in a slightly new perspective? Aren’t The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas quite similar depictions of how some may deal with the “Christmas blues”? The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas both originated as poems with rhythms similar to most Christmas poems. Tim Burton and Dr. Seuss both portray the cliché themes
In the movie A Christmas Carol, Fred is an important character who is easily overlooked. But he plays an important role to the plot and to revealing other character’s traits. Fred is Scrooge’s (adult) nephew and only family in the movie. The first scene in Scrooge’s bank reveals him to be a young, average man with brown hair and a big forehead. Although the movie doesn’t give us much information on his background we know that Fred isn’t very wealthy and is married.
His social awakening also inspires a change in attitude towards the treatment of women. Initially, Milkman objectifies Hagar and treats her as an inferior, but when he encounters Sweet, he begins to reciprocate her affections and treat her with respect. Furthermore, Milkman’s change in motivation for his flight south illustrates the development of his maturity through his pursuit of his family’s history, proving that attaining wealth is no longer his sole purpose. During his time south, Milkman was maliciously pursued by Guitar. His attempted murderer of Milkman creates the illusion of a resurrection to which Milkman develops social awareness.
Chuck Berry, the famous singer, popular for singing the song “Johnny B. Goode,”, sang the famous Christmas song, “Run Rudolph Run”, in 1958. The song was meant to be a happy, fast-paced song. There are many examples of this in almost every verse. “Out of all the reindeer you know you’re the mastermind,” is a reference to “Rudolph The Red nose Reindeer,”. At the end of the song, Rudolph became the leader of the reindeer crew that carried Santa’s sleigh.
The school method of criticism that I will use to analyze the poem "How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is a Marxist critic. It is a theory, the consciousness of a given class at a given historical moment derives from modes of material production that were demonstrated through the relationship between the Grinch and the people of Whoville. The poem is about the Grinch who hates Christmas so he wants to ruin it for people in Whoville, in which he achieved by stealing the presents from them. The Grinch’s hatred towards Christmas was directly shown in the poem, “The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season!”
The song Santa claus is coming to town was written in 1932 by Haven Gillespie and J Fred Coots. They had trouble convincing anyone to produce it because it was seen as a kids’ song, which would be hard to sell. Eddie Cantor, a comedian from the 1930’s for his radio show was heard for the first time. It had became a wildly popular christmas song and has been reworked by several different artists including Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus and other artists. It was the first in a series of top christmas songs to appear during generation from 1932-1951.

In a Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge meets three ghosts, the Ghost of Christmas past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Of the three the ghost that has the greatest impact on bitter old Scrooge was the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. To begin, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come showed Scrooge he wasn’t here to mess around. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come was the most serious and scary ghost.
