From children two adults, almost everyone can relate. In the 21st-century, people have become more dependent on technology just like in Fahrenheit 451. Technology is a distraction for all. Mildred uses technology the most, And in some ways is an immature adult.
Transported into the future, Ray Bradbury paints a picture in the reader’s head of the Happy Life Home, filled with technology to fit everyday needs. A family, mom, dad, and two kids, start to slowly fall apart because of being surrounded with technology. In The Veldt, Bradbury uses multiple examples of author’s craft such as personification and tone or mood to help prove and point out a theme included in his story. His theme contained in the story is, influencing children with so much technology early on can not only stir up violent thoughts but, can also cause breaks between friend and family relationships. The first author’s craft that can prove this theme to be true is personification.
This is different than in the Veldt because, in the Veldt, nothing really makes the parents question if all the technology they have in their house is good or bad, but in the end, a psychologist tells them and by then it is too late to do the right

They then trick them and then decide to lock the parents leaving them to die. The resolution explains that the plot is the children’s addiction to the technology-based housing and the nursery make them hate their parents. This causes them to lie and trick to their parents, which soon leads the parents to shut down the house. Peter and Wendy are extremely offended by this matter. Due to the fact, they trick and deceive their parents into the nursery and killing them.
The message that too much technology is not good for people is the main theme of the story. Both the children and the parents experience effects from using the machines to do everything for them. Also, the children are so spoiled from unlimited technology that they can’t live without

Both parents no longer feel needed in their home. This is a primary example of how technology could affect parenting in the near future. Since an inanimate object took over parental roles in the home, the opportunity for Peter and Wendy to be disobedient and entitled became accessible. The untimely deaths of Lydia and George at the hands of their ten year old children was a culmination of their various parenting missteps.

To start off, technology should not be exposed to children because it makes them addicted to it.
Ray Bradbury uses conflict and personification in the story to demonstrate the dangers of technology. Although several conflicts happen during the story, the main one is the opposition of the man and the machine. George’s kids constantly interact with the nursery and it keeps changing them in a negative way. When the psychologist is invited to George’s house he tries to warn George about what is happening to his kids.
“The Veldt”, by Ray Bradbury, is a short story that contains a series of events where the children, Wendy and Peter, are constantly being spoiled with the use of technology. Their parents, George and Lydia, bought a technology filled house, which contains devices that do almost everything for them, including a nursery for the children. The nursery’s walls transform and display different environments, of which reflect one’s thoughts. The children, however, are caught using violent content inside the nursery so their parents threaten to take away all technology, including the nursery. The children become upset, throw temper tantrums, and end up locking their parents in the nursery, left there to die with hungry lions.
They instead have “a tendency toward a slight paranoia here or there, usual in children because they feel persecuted by parents constantly” (Bradbury 7). The theme of death is a driving force throughout the story that exemplifies how technology can cause a tendency toward violence. There is a feeling deep inside the characters, especially the wife and husband, who realize that the way the children behave is not right. The wife, Lydia Hadley, helps her husband begin to see how negatively affected the children have become as a result of technology. It now does everything and “is wife and mother now, and nursemaid”
Another problem was that Wendy and Peter acted irrationally because they were addicted to technology. According to Hilarie Cash symptoms can include, frequent checking of texts, social withdrawal, loss of interest in activities that don’t involve technology, and restlessness when unable to go online. The kids in “The Veldt” showed symptoms like talking rude to their parents, loss of interest in anything other than the nursery, and kept playing in the nursery all the time. When the kids showed these symptoms, the parents wanted to see what was causing
